Four steps, about two minutes.
Download the app
Available on the App Store and Google Play. Both of you will need it.
Create your account
Sign in with Google, Apple, or an email address — whatever you prefer.
Tell us about the two of you
Your name, your partner's name, when you got together, and the kind of questions you'd like to be asked. You can change any of this later in the Us tab.
Connect with your partner
This is the one that matters. Almost nothing in BloomingPairs works alone — see below.
Connecting with your partner
One of you invites, the other joins.
If you're inviting
Tap Send invite. You'll get a six-character code and a link you can send however you like — message, WhatsApp, anywhere. The app then waits for them to join, and tells you the moment they do.
If you're joining
Tap the link your partner sent, or open the app and enter their six-character code. Capitals and lowercase both work.
A code only works once, and you can't join your own invite — if either happens, the app will say so rather than failing silently.
Not ready yet?
You can tap I'll invite them later and look around on your own. When you're ready, the invite screen is always waiting in Us → Connect Partner.
Until you're connected, the daily question has nobody to compare with, rewards have nobody to claim them from, and shared lists have nobody to share with. Connecting is what switches the app on.
The daily question
Called the Daily Spark. It's the heart of the app, and it takes about a minute.
You answer
A new question appears every day — the same one for both of you. Write your honest answer.
You guess theirs
Before you see anything, you predict what your partner said. This is the part that makes it interesting.
The reveal
Both answers appear side by side, along with how close your guess was. You earn tokens based on the match.
Why hasn't my reveal unlocked?
A reveal needs both answers. If you've answered and nothing is happening, your partner hasn't answered yet — they'll get a nudge from the app as soon as you submit yours.
Every past reveal is kept in Vault → Answer History, so you can scroll back through months of answers.

Your memory. Time Capsules you write now and open later, Bond Vaults you fill together, every past reveal, and a library of stories and prompts.

Profile, special dates, question topics, reminder times, quiet hours, your reward wallet, your streak history, and account settings.
About Time Capsules
Write something, seal it, and choose when it opens — either a date you pick, or when the two of you reach a 30-day streak. It stays locked until then, for both of you.
Tokens & rewards
A small economy for real-life favours.
You earn tokens by showing up — finishing the daily reveal, answering honestly in Truth Bomb, completing a Voice Truth, and hitting capsule milestones. The daily reveal pays more the closer your guess was, and counts once per day.
You spend them in Us → Reward Wallet, where they buy things from your partner rather than from us:

When you redeem one, your partner gets a notification telling them what they owe you. You'll need to be connected first — a reward with nobody to claim it from doesn't mean much.
Streaks
For couples who like showing up.
Your streak grows on days when both of you complete the daily reveal. Miss a day and you don't necessarily lose it — you have grace days that absorb the occasional busy evening. Your longest streak is kept separately, so a reset never erases your record.
A 30-day streak also unlocks any Time Capsule you sealed with a streak milestone.
Notifications
Mostly your partner, not us.
The app will let you know when your partner answers the daily question, changes their mood, sends you a prompt or replies to one, updates something in Nest, redeems a reward, or when one of your special dates is coming up. There's also a single daily reminder for the question itself.
You control all of it in Us: pick the time your daily reminder arrives, set Quiet Hours so nothing buzzes overnight, and turn individual types off entirely in Notification Settings.
Common questions
Things that look odd but are working as intended.
Both of you need to finish your own answer and your prediction. If you've only answered, go back into today's question and complete the guess step — the reveal unlocks right after.
The daily reveal reward is once per day, by design. Other activities like Truth Bomb and Voice Truth still earn on top of it.
One pack is for adults and asks for a separate age confirmation the first time. Confirm it and the pack opens — this is independent of your subscription.
One subscription covers both connected partners. There's no reason for both of you to subscribe.
Tapping a tab always returns it to its starting screen. It's intentional — it stops a finished game or a half-open screen from being there waiting for you later.
Go to Us → Unpair Partner. You can then invite someone else. If you want everything removed instead, Delete Account is in the same place and asks you to confirm twice.
Yes. Everything syncs between devices, and the Nest tab reshapes itself around long distance when you set that in Us → Shared Life Setup.
